The Advantages and Disadvantages of Different Watchbands

!±8± The Advantages and Disadvantages of Different Watchbands

Generally, the materials of watchbands are divided into three kinds: metal, leather and plastic. Here I would like to talk about the advantages and disadvantages of these three different materials.

First, metal:

In general, the metallic materials used to make watchbands are steels, especially stainless steels. Metallic watchbands are strong and durable. And it is comfortable to with metallic watchbands in hot days. What's more, watches with metallic watchbands are really cool adornments, especially for men, they are shining ones!

However, the disadvantages also exist. The most annoying may be that the length of metallic watchbands are fixed. You can hardly find a watch with its metallic watchbands that fit you snugly. That means you have to have it cut which may scratch your new watch. Though the metallic watchbands are strong, they are easily scratched; though they are durable, they will soon becoming less and less shining. What's worse, some people are allergic to them.

Second, leather:

Comparing to metallic watchbands, the length of leather watchbands is flexible which is really pleasing. They are comfortable to wear because they are soft. And they are of good air permeability. In addition, they looks much more elegance, refined and gentle.

But every coin has two sides. Leather watchbands are hard to take care of. The leather watchbands are easily out of shape and will even rupture if you use the same hole day and day.

Third, plastic:

Taking the advantages of low cost, lovely and colorful shapes, plastic watchbands are now flushing the market and they are becoming more and more popular among young people. The shapes of them are usually much more creative which make them more welcome. And they are easily to take care of.

Yet, the disadvantages are that they may be of so-so quality; someone may allergic to them; they are of bad air permeability and so on.

Just like nobody is perfect, nothing is perfect. It depends. It is you to decide whether the advantages outweigh the disadvantages.
